Background:
A Marine Cargo Surveyor since 1980, Mr. Duval joined Dufour, Laskay & Strouse, Inc. in 1998, in order to build the cargo division. Mr. Duval oversees the cargo division by performing Loss Prevention, Discharge, Damage and/or Loading surveys in the Gulf area on various imported/exported commodities. He also performs salvage sales, when needed, to assist in minimizing losses.

Before coming to Dufour, Laskay, & Strouse, Inc., Mr. Duval was the Branch Manager/Gulf States Region Marine Manager for a major marine cargo surveying company.

Background:
Mr. O'Keefe joined Dufour, Laskay & Strouse, Inc. in 2000. For the previous three years, Mr. O'Keefe operated an independent survey firm in Houston, working for various container lines, freight forwarders, and domestic and international insurers. Mr. O'Keefe began his career in 1980 and has worked fulltime in the marine surveying and adjusting industry.

His Multiple Line Marine Claims experience includes Ocean Carrier, Air Carrier, Terminal Operator, Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability, and Inland Marine. Mr. Widmer has worked for large Insurance companies in Europe and the USA (Alpina, Switzerland General, AIG), and for major independent adjusting and surveying companies (Toplis & Harding, Inc, now Vericlaims; Matthews, Matson & Kelley, Ltd., now MMK Ltd./CLS Global, Crawford & Company) as well as Ocean Carriers and Stevedores in the USA. He is fluent in French and German and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Mr. Hall handles discharge, loading, and/or damage surveys in Houston, Texas, and will be focused primarily on various steel commodities, as well as handling introductory cargo claims. Before coming to Dufour, Laskay and Strouse, Mr. Hall was a surveyor for an independent marine surveying company primarily dealing with steel cargoes. Previous to that, Mr. Hall spent many years as a police officer/investigator, from which he has extensive experience in criminal investigations.
